Week 7 - Texture

During this week different textures were looked at including cloth, fur, glass, dough, skin and wood. This image shows the different textures that an apple and an orange have. These drawing have been created using pastels and have been placed in a round shape as shaders in software such as Maya are spherical. The texture for these fruits as very different as an apple is smoother than an orange which has small holes in its skin. Apples can also have different coloured skins whereas oranges can’t. This texture drawing could be improved by showing how light effects them. When using a shaded in Maya, some areas are darker and this shows that the shader is curved. A similar thing could have been done to these two drawing.
